Time to Write
Writing calls you. Story ideas swirl in your head. Snippets of description flutter through your mind. You want to write, you think about writing, but it doesn't always happen.
Maybe you used to write and want to get back to it. Maybe you always wanted to write but haven't really begun. Maybe you're a regular writer but sometimes struggle to find time for your words.
Time is one of the biggest concerns for writers. Where to find it, how to use it. We're busy, so time really is of the essence. And it doesn't just show up on its own.
That's what Wild Minds is for--it's for giving your writing the time and attention it deserves.
What We'll Do
Wild Minds is a small group retreat (10 participants) created to give you some dedicated time with your writing and to give you ideas and exercises to take home with you to continue your writing journey. During our retreat we will:
- Learn to use timed writings to let our words flow
- Learn to create prompts from our own writings
- Create a list of resources and ideas for building our writing lives
- Discuss ways to stay motivated and keep writing outside of retreat time
Where: TaborSpace Library, 5441 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR 97215
When: Saturday, June 20, 2015, 1-4 p.m.
